LDSmusicians Fest 2008

welcome home

June  13

We have our applications on file for the city of Springville.  Julie Keyser has been in constant contact with the city park representative.  Thanks Julie!  It hasn't gone as smoothly as hoped.  It seems pretty hard to maintain good communication with the busy folks at the parks department, but we're slowly chipping away at it.

We are also taking bids for sound and lights. We have two or three that I feel pretty good about.  One is from a referral by one of our own members.  Another is one that I have been familiar with that was also recommended by our good friend Morey Day who is unfortunately unable to attend this year to help us with the lights.  Morey has been an absolute Saint with the level of dedication and support he has given to the fest in years past.  He has a major responsibility with the BSA this year that takes him away from us.  We should know more by this time next week.

T-shirts are designed and up on the website!  Take a look for yourself on the "how to help" link next door.  I'm pretty happy with them.  They were drawn by our own Arn Poe with a little creative input from yours truly.

More later . . . keep in touch

This just in . . .

Here's a regularly updated page on the latest status of the fest planning.  This is a very dynamic process and one that has had a number of twists and turns.  I share these experiences so that others can offer their help, advice, or prayers in making sure the fest is a success for everybody.  Please check in often and see what's new!

Thanks,

Steve
